Post by mnhockey1708 »

Does anyone know of any arenas that are running open hockey/shinny hockey this summer? Any response is much appreciated.

many rinks offer developmental/open hockey. Look at their websites or call.
MPLS-Park association has 3x3 pickup games during the summer. There may be openings.

We do have openings at our "Bantam and 2nd Year Peewee" sessions (all other sessions are full). 3 on 3. We throw the sticks into a pile at the beginning and select the teams by the old school pond hockey method.....

Kids love it, battle, and don't have coaches or parents pushing them.

Players are primarily B1 through C players. Some A players also participate. We put this together to make sure that those players that aren't playing AAA are still working on skating, stickhandling, and creativity.

We have nine spots left open at this level. 20 sessions remaining for $95.
Mondays at 8:30pm and Thursdays at 8:45pm. Make what you can make, miss what you need to miss. No required attendance. In the past, we have had kids from Wayzata, Roseville, Richfield, Edina, etc. participate and they are welcome to join the fun.

Feel free to PM me for more info....or go to our website for more info and to register:

Are there any places that you know of that are offering this for High Schoolers? My son wouldn't be eligible for the bantam/peewee level.
