MSBN coverage of State Bantam A VFW Tourney in Moorhead

Post by iwatchalotofhockey »

I will be in Moorhead this weekend to help with the Roseau broadcast crew and will have their games online for people to listen to and or possibly watch dependent upon internet connections at the rink.

If there are any other teams that possibly be interested in coverage please feel free to contact me ASAP! I cannot guarantee they will get on but can look into if there are some team sponsors that would like to get behind a broadcast and help allow for me to pay the announcers to do an xtra game or games they are willing.

You can PM me here or contact me via email at the office at:

MSBN Covering Elk River vs Cloquet @ 8:30 Friday

Post by iwatchalotofhockey »

The Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network will be covering the 1st game of the day on Friday between Elk River and Cloquet. We will for sure have audio but work on the internet to see if video is possible. A high possibility from what I am told as I just got in to Moorhead late tonight

Tune in to listen to see who will win the first game of the day then stay online and catch Roseau vs Brainerd in the second game at 10:30. We will see about potentially adding other games but for sure the Elk River games and Roseau games will be covered throughout the tourney.

Tune in here:

Well you have to love the Internet! Thats why I always tell people its not as easy as they think to go out and do these things. But overall everything went pretty well considering I planned on just heading up to help my Roseau guys and cover Elk River. We ended up covering 10 of the 15 games!

FYI all games we do are archived and you can go back and watch for free in the Full Archive section. Shouldnt have any issues with buffering there, if you do then its an internet issue on your side. Had a few blips on the radar screen as this wasnt the most broadcast friendly arena but we as always get things on and this is why we cover more sports than anyone out there and I stand behind that comment 1000%

Thanks everyone for those of you who got behind our coverage and helped me make this happen as John Peterson did a great job helping out with the play by play. Thanks again to those VFW Posts that sponsored their team's broadcasts.

Congrats to all teams on outstanding seasons! Shold be some great high school hockey sectionals in the future years based upon some of the talent we saw here this weekend and last weekend at Virginia!!! It was fun and worth the trip.

See you again next year at some local arena around the state. Make it a great day everyone!!!
