1st round games for both Blaine & GR are so tough. If either team wins it would be an epic upset. But anything can happen in a single elimination game. Especially with 12 yr olds.Pinky wrote:Not sure about Grand Rapids as I have not watched them play this year, but I know Edina played Blaine already back earlier in February and won 11-1. .

Agree that Farm, Rose & Edina will all roll. Pretty easy 1st round for them. Rose will win by more than 5, Blaine might make it tighter if they get really physical & Farm should win handily. The Wayzata/ER game should be excellent.HHM wrote:Here are my first round predictions. Agree or disagree?
Wayzata 4
Elk River 3
Farmington 8
Grand Rapids 2
Edina 6
Blaine 1
Rosemount 7
Moorhead Black 2

Fredrick, Great article this week in LPH you give some great facts and stats on the 8 State Teams.
Curious to know though more scpecific details on the teams:
- Who has the most returning APW's from last year?
- Who has the most 2nd year PW's?
- Who is the youngest or who has the most 1st year PW's?
- What teams have 1st year coaches and what teams have returning coaches from last year?
- What teams participated in State last year?

Via MNHockey web site- Last years squads (and don't know #'s of 1st or 2nd year kids)- WBL, Edina, Wayzata, Andover, EP, Stillwater, ER, Orono and Edina won it all.ThePuckStopsHere wrote:Fredrick, Great article this week in LPH you give some great facts and stats on the 8 State Teams.

There are three or four teams at the top of the Peewee B1 ranks that would compete for the Peewee A title. OK - just kiding. I just wanted to stir things up. I don't follow Peewee A hockey like the most of you on this thread but why does Farmington and Rosemount have so few players? Is there some built in bench shortening going on at this level? I'm sure there are some very good teams but what would happen if top associations only skated their top 13-14 players and left the rest for lower teams? Just curious. My kid is a lowly 1st year B1 peewee so don't hate on me. Inquiring minds want to know.
