Class AA Seeding

Post by The Thirsty Whale »

1st Question - When do they seed for Class AA?

2nd Question: Projections of seedings? (with two of these two squads HM/WBL and MG/Blaine waiting to advance)

Edina will get seeded higher than Hill based on SOS.

If MG wins:
EP
Hill
Edina
MG

If Blaine wins:
EP
Hill
Edina
Duluth East
EP two out of three.

aa seedings

Post by rudy »

At first blush, i have it ...

1 -- EP
2 -- Edina
3 -- Duluth East
4 -- Eagan

outside looking in: Blaine, Moorhead, Lakeville North, WBL

But what about these factors?:

Edina beat EP 2 of 3 (3-zip Edina win at EP) and only lost to EP by a goal without Everson.

Blaine has a very good record and knocked off top seed MG. Does Blaine get No. 4?

It might be a toss up for #4 with Blaine and Eagan

I agree

1) EP
2) Edina
3) East
4) Eagan

It really doesn't matter how you shake up the rest, we should see some great first round games.

Moorhead, Blaine, WBL and Lakeville North have all gotten hot at the right time with some big wins.

Shhh!! It's supposed to be a secret.

Now all we need to do is get some foreign connections going. Perhaps Cloquet can shed some light.

WHAT!!!??? Public schools are recruiting now!!!??? Maybe that explains why I saw 2 EP kids, a kid from Mound, a kid from Osseo and a kid from Finland all play for 'Tonka when I was younger... naw that couldn't be.... *hears phone ringing*

hello?

.....

STA?

.....

I already turned you down when I was in junior high

*click*

sorry... where were we... oh yeah... next you're going to tell me that other private schools recruit as well

Is it just me, or does it almost seem like they seeded the whole 8 teams in the tournament, on the hub it gives each team a seed, but they only seed the top 4 correct? But it does seem like the #8 (Lakeville North) is playing the #1 EP and its all the way up the board.

It's the same way in Class A, with New Ulm being the clear 8 seed for the state tournament and they play #1 STA, and Alexandria is definatley the 7 and they play #2 Hermantown.

That is how it should be though.

Tonka "recruits" about 1800 kids a year, it's called open enrollment.
