Hill Murray (18-3) @ South St Paul (14-7) 2-10-11 7:30pm

Post by HShockeywatcher »

The first time around, the Pioneers beat the Packers 4-2 at Aldrich. Will the result be different at Wakota?

Hill Murray is riding a 10 game winning streak, although only 2 of the games in that stretch were won by less than 5 goals, while South St Paul is coming off a 0-5 shut out to St Thomas. Do the Packers stand a chance?

Do they stand a chance? Yes, considering what has happened thus far in the State.

Do I think there will be a upset? No, I still believe SSP will put up a good fight, like last game; however, HM will still come out on top.

5-2 HM

This will be a tough one for the Pack. Just hoping it is a close game. If they have a chance it is very slim. They need a few lucky breaks and a outstanding game from goaltender Palmquist.

Hill-Murray 6, So. St. Paul 2
shots 52-12
It was Senior night for SSP at Wakota.
Sophomores Luke Voltin with 2 goals and Jake Guentzel with 1. The youngsters are starting to step up for HM making them even tougher to beat.

Darn, off by one goal...

That will come up big for HM in the long haul.

Only 52 shots tonight. They must have backed it off a bit last night. Yuk!

4 of the 6 goals were scored by Sophs (Lavalle had 1 as well). This is Lavalle's 3rd yr on the varsity and he keeps getting better each yr. Guentzel has been producing since his first varsity game against Burnsville. Voltin was a force on JV last yr and started slow this yr. He is really starting to hit his stride and doing it at the right time.
