Academy of Holy Angels vs. Minnetonka
AHA is now having the season that they wanted with key players stepping up and taking the place of the Reileys and Tonka is keeping strong and consistent with their game play.

AHA is not having the season they wanted, yet. They are playing much better than their 1 - 2 start. No one replaced the Reilly's, only that the other players are getting to handle the puck. Nothing against the Reilly's they are all good players but too much focus was on them.
A team is more than 3 players. AHA is playing as a team and looking good. All the conference games are much closer than the scores appear. That said, I see AHA playing a real good game against Tonka, it will be close and tough to call. But, I will pick the STARS by one in a battle.
AHA then has Hill Murray at Richfield on Tuesday and EP on Thursday. Tough stretch.

I agree that Minnetonka is prime to be beat tonight by AHA even though the game is at home at Pagel. The Skippers are playing a back-end of back-to-back, playing Blake last night in Hopkins. Also, regarding AHA, I agree with shotpassskate that the Stars are coming together nicely, although I think that tonight will be the only one of the three that they win. Hill-Murray will be tough on Jan. 18th, even though it is at home, and going on the road to Eden Prairie on Jan. 20th will be even tougher. The Eagles will be getting serious and bearing down, especially after their third loss this afternoon against Duluth East (4-3 in OT in Duluth).

Goaltending is the key in all games. Tonka's first goal, not many would have stopped, that was an excellent goal. Remember that Tonka score two of the first four goals onthe power-play and another was on a delayed penalty, so AHA was short-handed for three of the 5. The winning goal, was a hard shot that was stopped and deflected off the goalie and bounced in. Anyway, it was a good game and tough loss for AHA.
