Eden Prairie vs. Moorhead 12/30
St. Louis Park tournament championship. EP has looked great and Moorhead took down Wayzata. Rematch of the 2009 State Championship. I'm taking EP 5-2. Who you got?
EP two out of three.

E.P/Moorhead
If Bitzer plays as well as he did last night (he made some spectacular saves vs. Wayzata) and the rest of the team doesn't get too full of themselves after knocking off the #1 ranked team, the Spuds could pull off another upset.
But the skeptic in me says Eden Prairie will win after seeing how they took Maple Grove apart yesterday.
Only time will tell.

EP has the capability to take apart anyone in the state with their offensive game - they have proved that. Unfortunately, the defense and goal tending, as star ladened and as deep as they are, have had their hands full. They have shown they are prone to breaking down for periods at a time during a game - resulting in "bunches" of goals scored against.
Moorhead kept the most offensively potent line in the state off the score sheet yesterday. And if EP doesn't strike early and often, then I see the potential for a Spud victory.
I guess I'm a bit of a sceptic. And at this point I'm hoping that the hype of this EP team hasn't caused a feeling of entitlement in their ranks.
My emotions are getting in the way of making a clear call on this one

Eh...I didn't think it was that close. There was no score in the first and it was 1-0 after 2 but EP really controlled play. At no point did I think Moorhead would win. It was really somewhat resemblant of the state game in 2009. Kinda close but it always looked like EP had it and they won comfortably in the end.gerryodrowski wrote:It was?StillAnEagle wrote:phew... that was closer than the score.HockeyMN1 wrote:EP wins 4-0 (EN). Yes I actually thought it was closer than that. As much as I love Lee and this Eagle team, I'm just being realistic.HockeyMN1 wrote:Eh...I didn't think it was that close.
