Biggest Hits At The State Tournament

Post by BigWorm »

There were quite a few big hits on Thursday at the State Tournament. It reminded me of this classic state tournament hit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRy9KH57 ... re=related ... What other big hits do you remember over the years during the State Tournament?

One of the best HS hockey hits I have personally witnessed. Yesterdays games had some good hits as well. Bring the thunder boys!

speaking of big hits... did any of you guys see the checking from behind last night in the DE - Hm game.... I was suprised the ref gave the guy boarding instead of checking from behind... the HM players head went straight into the boards

Not sure about the biggest hits but based on the size of the kid, Ben Marshal just laid one of the most text book hits I have ever seen and it left the Hermantown kid out of air. Wow what skating skill.

Physical play this year at the tourney is up from last year, IMO.

This was a few years back but I'll never forget it, sounded like a couple big trucks colliding.

Kind of reminded me of a gutsy 175 lb. cornerback taking on a 240 lb. running back in the open field. Got the job done but paid the price.

I would say last night's hit by Max Gardiner and also one by Andrew Prochno were pretty big ones.
