depends on which south team shows up..the team that beat DC 4-2, or the team that got the #1 seed by dominating the teams in the section like they did today vs Winona...
No shot homebarkingdog for a couple reasons.. South beat north twice this year of a combined score of 9-1.. Niether game was close. South has all there players back healthy and you saw today how much kloos means to this team with 4 goals today. South did not play well against dodge county but that was obviously a wake up call as they destroyed Winona today. You know they will come out with a lot of momentum from that game.. Where on the other hand north let up a couple late goals and was outplayed the last period against century. Now, the only way I think north had a chance is that it is tough to beat the same team 3 times in the same season but still South is a much better all around team and that fresh, soph, soph line is unbelievable and they are all healthy and playing well together again.. No contest
South-6
North-2
south has a chance to surprise someone at state. Plus, I don't want a under .500 team represent 1aa
Both these teams would have received the 5 seed or worse and would have easily been eliminated in the first round had they been in section 6AA. I really don't care who wins this game, whoever does will be totally undeserving of a state berth.
Well it only took 7 posts to get to the obligatory 1AA bashing. My over under was 5 posts. For the record, you're right they would have been a 5 seed or lower in 6AA, the same thing could be said for the 1 seeds in a couple other sections.
South would obviously be favored............but lets take a look at the 2009/2010 season in other sports........South football favored by a TON in section football final...........loses to North. Girls hockey, Lakevielle South favored by almost everyone in the state, Lakeville North Lady Panther beat them and advance. In a one game playoff, anything can happen. Guarantee it will be a good game!!!!!!!!

North was 1-0-1 against Jefferson this season, something the top seed from 8AA can't say going 0-2 against the Jaguars - maybe that's the section that doesn't deserve a spot If you're going to point out 1AA's flaws you'd better point to the rest of the sections that have done equally as poorly if not worse.

Would have been 6th
I would have put LVS ahead of Benilde, personally.
As with every other year, when fridays game is over it will officially become bash 1aa time. If south wins they'll likely get a fair amount of ridicule, if north wins I'm pretty sure they'll get an unmerciful pummeling. Lets all try to keep in mind its not the kids fault. The system is flawed but if someone is to take blame for it, start with the mshsl. As for the game ..likely a toss up when you put all the emotion into the equation.
