Silver Bay v.s. Moose Lake

Post by MNpuck10 »

I just got off the phone with a buddy that was at the game. Claimed Moose Lake was ahead 1-0 after the first and got a quick one in the second before an array of penalties where Silver Bay capitalized on a 5-3 to end the period 3-2 Silver Bay. Eventually beating Moose Lake 7-3. Fluke couple periods? or is Moose Lake a team that could be turning it around after a slow start? (Shots 20-19)

According to the Duluth News-Tribune box score from this game, Silver Bay only notched one power play goal, that coming at the 9:39 mark of the 3rd period when they were already ahead 4-2. Silver Bay's first 4 goals were at even strength, as was their last. Their 6th goal was short handed. There is the possibility of an error along the lines of communication from the game to the newspaper, otherwise, MNpuck10, your buddy could be full of it as far as all of the power play goals are concerned.

Moose Lake did lead until almost the halfway mark of the game. The second half was all Silver Bay though.

Shots on goal were: SB: 27, ML: 22.

Here's a link to the full box score as it was reported, if your interested:
<a href="http://www.section7hockey.com/BoxScore. ...

Great game for a couple periods. Moose Lake led 2-0 in the 2nd period. Break down by Moose Lake with some penalties; but they never gave up.

New coach for ML is very aggressive and won't let down. Great game....

You've got to give the kid some credit, hawkfan.
Afterall, there are 20+ other guys on that team that aren't scoring that many goals. He's obviously more talented than the average joe. When his team does play the tougher teams, its usually his line that scores the goals (if they score). Duluth Marshall is the top team in the state in class A right now, and anyone is going to have a tough time scoring on them. I'm not saying he should be Mr. Hockey or anything like that, but he certainly isn't just an average forward.

No way. SB must have just came out flat. ML will do nothing this year just like the past.
