Word around the lakes is Walker is trying to join forces with PR next year. We shall see how that turns out.

Cool, Walker will play in the JV game and Park Rapids will play in the Varsity game. Makes sense. Park Rapids had trouble getting enough kids for the JV games when I played. My soph. year they actually borrowed three of our guys for the third period because they needed some JV kids to play 4 periods.

I've noticed some talk going around about it, but people close to both programs say it is still years away and the programs aren't very close to coming to an aggrement on combining.

at this point, the possibility of a co-op between park rapids and walker is 50/50. some in walker want it, some don't. the pr athletic director has been taking some heat from members of the community. like goal said, they aren't close to coming to an agreement, as of now. park rapids has offered to play a very minimal amount of home games in walker and only something like one practice per week. personally, i don't think it will happen, but if it does, it will be next year. the next meeting on the issue is scheduled for april, after some more budget-related stuff is worked out.
