Wow. So after tomorrow night it's the end of the season for either the #1 or #2 team.

correct, EP, Jefferson, Edina, or Tonka could still make it to regions, perhaps even as the #1 D6 seed.

Shows how tough this district is. All of these four are ranked in the top 11 of letsplayhockey, now with just 1 playoff game, they face elimination.

I've watched most of the D6 playoff games. My prediction of Minnetonka, Edina, and Eden Prairie turned out incorrect. I admit it!

Apple Valley is playing their best hockey of the season, congratulations to that team, and their new coaches. When their goalie is HOT - watch out!

Burnsville played two hard as nails, tough games, back to back - and got unbelievable goaltending - something like 2 goals in 60+ shots. Which come D6 playoff time vs EP and Edina is OUTSTANDING.

I'll be at the rink again tonight - this should be REALLY good!

I think the AV coaches coached the Burnsville Bantam A team last year

I saw most of the 2 games last night (had to leave for a few minutes between games).

Apple Valley is playing like a team that wants to win, Burnsville played like they are happy to just go to regions - even as a #3 seed.

While I have never been all that impressed with this years Minnetonka team, they should easily beat an uninspired Burnsville tonight. Which means a rematch this weekend - Minnetonka and Apple Valley!

So..........by my calculations, and memory - this is the second year in a row that Edina BA has not gone to regions. NOT trying to disrespect anyone - but I find it interesting that associations like Apple Valley and Burnsville, who both had WAY less than 100 Bantam's TOTAL, have made it 2 years in a row. (Possibly more, I'll have to check the records....)

I think there's a number crunching dude on this forum that did a study on each associations effectiveness with what pool sizes they have. I'll have to look for that thread.

hawk

I was told Apple Valley had 34 skaters go out for bantams.
They have a small bantam A team, a small bantam B2 team, and combo with Bloomington for bantam C.

SEE!

That's what I'm talking about. This is simply amazing. Has to be a BIG tribute to the coaches, and the integrity of the players.

If everyone works really hard a small association can do it. Apple Valley is a great testiment to that. A high performing group that stays together.

A big association just picks the ones that are working hard.
