Here is THE stat in addition to the goal scoring woes.
In the first 11 games of the season the Hornets allowed 2 goals on the penalty kill in 50 attempts. Since January 1, they have allowed 9 goals on 34 chances.
That being said, the team has lost twice to #1 Tonka and Wayzata.
The mental meddle of this team will be on display tonight against a Hopkins squad which Chad Nyberg said Saturday has been playing well.
I can tell you from chatting with folks inside Braemar there are concerns with the tilt tonight.

Check near/at the piece of glass that broke but it looked like a stick swung during the check and that's what actually broke the glass.starmvp wrote:Apparantly a piece of glass broke with under a minute left in OT.mj79 wrote:what happened to the glass
There were only a few seconds remaining in OT when the glass broke but they finished it and the game ended tied at 3.

I watched periods 2 & 3 online, shots were 2:1 for Edina but for the first half of the game it was much closer. Hopkins tied it late in the 3rd and either team could've won it in OT.starmvp wrote:How was the game?Gov78 wrote:Check near/at the piece of glass that broke but it looked like a stick swung during the check and that's what actually broke the glass.starmvp wrote: Apparantly a piece of glass broke with under a minute left in OT.

My $0.02, Hopkins as a team is very average this year and Fons always keep it close. A good Edina team should've had no problem tonight but that's not how they've been playing of late but this is not one of Edina's stronger teams.
