Agreed. But if you can't beat Richfield, you don't deserve itPioneerprideguy wrote:If you can't take care of things on your own, you don't deserve it.HShockeywatcher wrote:Doubt it, but that would be great for St Thomas

That being said, the team that started the season with 7 road games going 7-0 lost to Mahtomedi and Tartan last year as well. There's still plenty of season for them to mess of else where.

All I know is I thought Richfield played well against STA and lost 12 - 1. Richfield plays HM at home pretty good, so I would never rule out an upset. Richfield will need to play superb defense and have a goalie that stands on his head. They will also need to stay out of the box, stay cool.
One more item, they will need someone to shoot the puck in the net, not in the vicinity.
HM 12
RHS 2
Sorry boys.....

8-3 after 2 periods, Hills defensive corps not looking strong at all. Lots of open odd man rushes.
Well.. I was right about the 8 goals after two periods.. What's going on with the D.. Are they taking the night off expecting Casto to do all the work now that he committed to UMD?
Looks more like a case of people wanting to play all out offense given the opponent, including on the PK, rather than playing the solid D they're capable of. Freshmen tender looks a little nervous in nets, but he should be getting more help than he is, still a few softies.

Sad part was I never knew they got the third goal. Cleaning a locker room at the time.Goldfishdude wrote:Zamman awfully close with his 12-2 prediction..hockeyfan893 wrote:12-3 final.
First goal was also scored by Dhein....Mick is a good player, but his potential will never be brought out without the support. But Richfield played hard the whole game. The coaches are doing the best they can with what they have to play with. I have to say these two coaches are probably the best ones I have seen in the last 13 years. Other coaches have had a better group of players, but could not get them playing to their potential.
Nice job Mark and John.

HM - Richfield
Hill-Murray HS does not have a youth hockey association. Neither does Stillwater High School. Stillwater does. It's unfortunate for you and for Stillwater HS Hockey, but good for America, that families are free to choose which school to send their children to. Perhaps some form of a youth hockey-local public high school slavery system would be good for Stillwater HS Hockey.
And yes PPG, I too don't understand how you could forget all of those great Stillwater victories over HM in hockey. How could you possibly forget that last one - 15 years ago. There are 3 in 40 years. HM is 37-3 all time vs. Stillwater.
We all know HMs dominance is about to end. The great Phil Housley is going to turn the program around any day now. Unless of course he bails out after young Wilson graduates - as has been rumored.
