What Has Happened to Minnesota High School Hockey!?!?

Seriously, what on earth has happened to Minnesota High School Boys Hockey!?

Does anyone remember the day when the kids that were playing were... Oh I don't know.. umm.. GOOD!?

Hockey in Minnesota has gone down hill in a hurry! I remember the day when kids in this league played like a team, played like they wanted to win EVERY game. When kids stuck to the basic skills that were, and still are, a key part of winning. Correct me if I'm wrong, but hockey in this state needs to pick it up! Kids just aren't dedicated like they used to be. Instead of going home to shoot pucks, or go lift, they go home and get pampered by their parents, play their video games, and get starry-eyed because they scored a goal in their last weeks LOSS to some over-rated team. Kids have gotten straight up LAZY!! I'm not calling out anyone or any team, I'm simply speaking in general. I know tons of kids that are playing today are going to read this and argue that all of this is untrue so here is what I have to say to you.. It is true, so quit complaining, get off the computer, and go outside and start shooting pucks and improve your game, because all of you need it badly.

I know there are the exceptions to this. I know there are kids in MN that are doing the very same thing that I'm saying they aren't. So if you're one of those kids, please disregard this message and keep doing what you're doing.

For the rest of you, start doing what they are doing, and bring the umph back into Minnesota Hockey!!! PLEASE!!

I still enjoy going to these High School games but it is quickly becoming more and more unenjoyable to watch, knowing what High School hockey once was. Remember the days (which were not so long ago) when Warroad had T.J Oshie, and Breck had Blake Wheeler?? those were the last few years when MN High School hockey had legitimate hockey players that could play at a higher level.

Again, there are the few exceptions that are good enough to legitimately play at a higher level (meaning pro hockey). But there are so many that are not anymore..

Look at the MN Gophers...

First of all, I love the gophers. But come on!! they keep recruiting kids from MN because they almost have to.. but in the end it hurts them BECAUSE MN hockey is going to PLEASE BAN ME!!

Basically what I'm getting at is if you are a player, or a parent of a current player, PLEASE get them to start focusing on hockey more instead of F***ing around!! For the sake of MN's reputation... get better please!! because besides Joe Mauer, and the current Vikings, Minnesota has really nothing left.....
