this thread is off to a rather rocky start, I hope it gets its roll on soon, because it should be a good topic. :D

I heard this morning that Donnelly has resigned. Looks like there will be a new Bantam A coach for the Hornets.

Probably the best for all concerned. They were extremely undisciplined this last year.

Based on posts from threads this winter, the parents were a little undisciplined, as well.

The word I'd heard a while back was that the (recently) former head coach of Eden Prairie Peewee A Noel Rahn was on Edina's short list. He's a former cake eater, actually lives in Edina (so that's where his son will play youth), he's had a fair amount of success at EP including 1 State championship, and his credentials/experience training some of the best high school and college kids in the metro (plus some pros) speaks for itself.

Oh ya, did I mention he eats and speaks 'cake'?

Donnelley has one lousy group of parents and players and out of dodge they send him. Pretty successful Bantam A coach over the years.

Be careful what you wish for...

Is Noel Rahn the front runner for the job or has he already been given the job?

They did approach The "SuperStar" But I had to decline...My hockey knowledge is too great.

I like running under 2 - trap 1 schemes, not sure if that fits in well with Bantam hockey. BUT I could switch to Trap 2 under 1, 2 high dzone coverage..

I doubt there'll be any controversy, his kid is very good as is Dornbach's. Probably the top two from last year's Squirt A1 team IMO.

SURE

Just kidding, I'm sure he is good. I'm just so glad to be done with all the politics of youth hockey.

Just an FYI, Both Dornbach and Bellows will be 1st year Pee Wee's not Bantams, so they will not be trying out for their dad's team this year.
