Dogs up 2-0 late in the second period...just killed off a five minute Sioux power play.

Minn.-Duluth - 2
No. Dakota - 0

after 2

Boring hockey game. Lots of penalties, no nifty plays. The Sioux won't shoot the puck with a purpose. It should probably be 0-0, but Eidsness decided to show up after the first 7 minutes.
I still can't believe the first goal. Eidsness left the puck behind the net for Sharp, who took it and scored on the open net. I'm not sure if I've ever seen that.

I gotta agree with the post on the other tUMD board about Eidsness looking awful. I wasnt impressed with him in warmups when they came to the DECC, although he did play better during the game. I think THIS is a case of good team defense making the goalie look good. Should be a good defensive (hopefully) battle tonight. I was able to get a PWR ranking up to 6 for tUMD with a win and UND loss this afternoon.

He looked good as usual after the first seven minutes. The first goal was 100% his fault and the second goal was mostly his fault. He came out too far and had a bad angle on the shooter, who just turned and whipped it in. The Sioux couldn't hit empty nets anyway, so it wasn't going to matter.
