Is Edina the most talented...??

Post by wisconsinprephockey »

Is Edina the most talented team to NOT win a state title?

I don't care where your from or who you root for Edina has no shortage of talent. Ever since Lee, Everson, and Buddish laced up for their high school team they were highly regarded, and no one can dispute these are very talented kids.

Yet the big three on the team stayed together to only fall short each year. The big thing that stands out about this to me is that the big three played together so long. Many talented teams have talent at various grades to give them a stacked team one year, and maybe slightly less the next. But these guys were considered by many the favorites the last two if not three years...

But are they the most talented team to not win a state title?

Any one remember other team that was this talented but continued to fall short like this?

Holy Angels of 07 possibly? Mattson and company?

What are your thoughts?

Even though they were upset in the section seminfinals, Hill-Murray's 1996 team was quite talented.
