ok - lets hear it Burnsville vs Jefferson

Post by hockeyhockeyhockey »

well bville does not really have a high quality win this year...but they are scoring in bunches from the 1st line....they stole this game last year in the semis after being down 3-0....

any shot here for the upset. some upset is sure to happen today statewide.

I like Jefferson but this is the kind of team that could give Jefferson trouble. All the talk about Jeffersons record and strength of schedule will come to a head today as Burnsville should get scoring chances. I am interested in seeing Jeffersons goalie stand up to this in a playoff situation. I could see a shootout which should be what Burnsville wants and Jefferson should look out for.

I just don't see this upset happening in this game, maybe if May can stay out of the box.

Burnsville's superintendent didn't do the blaze any favors by being the only metro game canceled on Thursday. Having to play a well rested Jag's team hours after a fairly draining game will be tough.

6 rip jags. Final. Turning point in the game was Zach King making some "by by" gesture to Faust as he is heading to the box when his team is down 4-0 and getting crushed. 16 second later he takes a tripping penalty and Jags had the class to say nothing. What a chump.

BY BY Zach

Zach who? That was the real story.

Tribune found some time to interview him so he could whine some more.

Everything I said was factual. One other thing, Zach, Burnsville changed the game to Friday.....that is a FACT. Sorry about your cut but why did it take 5 hours to get 13 stitches?

no- you don't have the facts, and i am neither of the zachs. and both supers palyed a part in the cancellation. if you had all of the facts would you not know this. and have you ever had to wait in an emergency room, 4-5 hours is not uncommon for something like stitches.

no, not bitter, not a player. but if people keep bringing this up maybe they should know the facts. it happened, and if it happened to any other team they would not have been too happy about it either. bitter has nothing to do with it. their season is done and maybe people should just leave it at that.

"The Chaska superintendent called at 10 o'clock in the morning Thursday and said they weren't going to play because of the snow," said Zach May, Burnsville's captain. "It was the only playoff game scheduled that wasn't played.

"So we get stuck playing Friday night, and then have Jefferson today at noon. And a Chaska guy runs me at the end of the game, I get cuts for 13 stitches, and I don't get out of the emergency room until 1 o'clock this morning.

"This was a bad deal all the way around for us."

That is the quote from the paper. The part of the Chaska superintendent calling at 10:00am to say they were not going to play is a lie or not factual. It was not even snowing at 10:00am anyway.

This started with me pointing out how much of a chump Zach King was in the Jefferson game...waiving his hands at Faust while he is getting walked on a continual basis only to have him take a penalty 20 seconds later...thats all. That is a fact.

Because he had to whine to the newspaper instead of just taking a classy approach. I am sorry he had to play hurt. It might have been a tie game if he was 100%.
