We (Tartan) did not play to our full potential. About half way through the second period our top goalie, Alex Gierke, pulled something in his leg and most likely needs an MRI to see whats wrong. He could be fine in a few days or be out for a few weeks, we dont know.

We play them again this Saturday at Tartan at 3pm.

Tartan was behind 3-2 when Gierke apparently pulled himself, he'd given up 3 goals on 9 shots. He didn't look like himself from the start. Tartan jumped out to a 2-0 lead but, then the penalty bug started...this team finds more ways to shoot themselves in the foot. 17 got his stick stuck in the boards, shorthanded and spent 20 seconds pulling it out and then flexing it, unbelievable. Lack of leadership.

One other question tartan manager, I picked my daughter up at the rink yesterday afternoon and the rink was full of Tartan players screwing around in the lobby almost 2 hours before your game. Do you always arrive to a rink that long before a game? Im guessing your team left school early for a what 10 minute bus ride?

and another question for the Tartan Manager. Why does this team continue to take penalty after penalty at the most inopprotune times? Do they ever get disciplined? Do the coachs condone their individualistic behavior? You know I seem to pick on your team because they seem to have great potential. At the same time they are seemingly uncoached and unmotivated. This team has played some of the best hockey I've seen, and also by far the worst hockey I've seen. Another question...do your coachs know you come on here to post and tip off other teams about injuries your team has??? I'm pretty sure HM is thankful you let them know your top goalie has a bad leg and they wont have to face him. You and Titansdman need to be muzzled by the coaching staff!!!

Well, it appears that Tartan may have put themselves in the #4 spot come sections now. Nice little revenge game for Stillwater may loom on the horizon in round one.

Gierke pulled himself out of the game because he pulled something in his leg. He could barely skate to the bench and barely walk after the game. It was not because of the goals.

I was referencing your 3-2 score, not his injury. I was not even questioning that. Its a shame, he was playing well until that game.
