Duluth East Won their 14th game of the year the other day. With that win the Greyhounds as a program since 1949 secure the programs 56th consecutive winning season.
Is this the longest winning season streak in boys hockey and other sports in MN High School Sports?/ What about around the USA for high school sports?

Duluth Central will be closing shortly. The students from each are being split roughly evenly between Denfeld and the new east high school, which may or may not keep the same name (one would hope so; I don't understand why they'd keep one name and not another, and it'd save them money on jerseys, etc.).Derek Sutton 09 wrote:HShockeywatcher, what do you mean going to two schools? Are they joining with someone, and if so, who?
I doubt the end of Central will change the balance of hockey power much in the region, it'll probably be slightly beneficial to each school, but not significiantly. The good thing about it is that it'll force Denfeld back up to AA, and end East's opt-up status, giving the north another AA team and hopefully putting some meaning back into the intra-Duluth games.
