With the two splitting it's almost like staring from square one. I see a decent rivelry in the future between these teams. I'm pretty sure they didn't care much for each other when they played togather !

Both teams have won some games (which ain't bad for new teams) I think Waconia's senior goalie is out? HF's goalie got yanked vs Mound last week. I'll give Waconia the home field advantage 5-4...

Waconia has been crusing along, taking care of the also-rans. They're primed and ready for something a bit more difficult.
Waconia 4, HF 2. :D

was anyone else there to confirm this? seems like Holy Family is having a hard time scoring if they cant score on a freshman goalie....they have two goals in their last four games...ouch
and congrats to waconia on starting out the rivalry 1-0

Waconia's Senior Goalie came back from his injury, to play against his former team and had an outstanding game, proving that he should have played more last year at Holy Family, getting the win 3-1...... It might be a bad sign for Holy Family when the Anti -Waconia WayOutWest, the person who does not have any good things to say about Waconia Hockey, picked Waconia to win the game.... Should be a fun game in a couple of weeks at Holy Family

Oh come on, IceGuy!
A less than glowing assessment of a hockey team's chances equates to "does not have any good things to say?" Please quit your whining. [-X
Waconia is a young program. (1st year on their own, previous coop with HF.) The entire association feeding it has been challenged for numbers.
The H.S. team is doing as well as they can under the circumstances. They're beating the "also rans", which now includes H.F. They will have an uphill climb, battling the older, more experienced and polished programs at Mound-Westonka, SCC, and Orono. Once they can compete with those programs, they will have something to chat about. Until then...........they're in a "building mode."
I have high hopes for Waconia. I am merely not buying into the presumption that they'll have great success anytime soon.
Feel free to think otherwise, though. But try not to get too upset with dissenting opinions, eh?
