Greenway Raiders
After coming off of a 4-0 win over Eveleth in the Jamboree they will be facing 5 straight solid hockey teams. Hermantown, Little Falls, Park Rapids Grand Rapids, and Warroad. With a whole new coaching staff i am woundering if They will have the talent to pull off any upsets this year. If they will be able to keep the puck out of the net i think they have the forwards that are capible of scoring. It will be a very intresting year.

Heard some good reports about their performance at the Jamboree. They passed the puck well and were more disciplined. If Greenway can start 2-3 with that schedule and stay close in the other games, that would be encouraging. Greenway has a real problem with depth, any injuries could really hurt them.

Anton is getting after someone for grades? is that the pot calling the kettle black or what! anton is the perfect coach to resurect this program though...hopefully his dad hops on the ice to help out from time to time..the man is a legend and great coach, and if jeff is anything like him, look for greenway in st. paul in march.

what you see here is pretty much what you get, expect an honest effort from this team night in and night out, wouldnt mind facing em in st paul, but in sections they WILL play spoiler to a team that overlooks them, they will probably be either the 4th or 5th seed in sections, behind hibbing, marshall, virginia and then it will be between them and i-falls for the 4th seed.
enjoy this post while it lasts....

not only the fausts. beckers, curto, and more kids that quie that could have been decent. when the fausts left they helped one program and left one to crash and burn. but if the kids can pull their heads out they will hopefully get through this mess.oneIdmonsta wrote:hate to say any chance of ever being any good ended when the faust family left

I hope Antonovich will hang in there. He seems to be doing the best he can with what is going on in this once proud program. If he can really work with youth hockey, things could change. The PeeWee numbers are good and he needs to put a lot of effort at that level and younger to really turn this program around.

I remember during my Sophomore year as players of the team the coach made us go skate with the mites. I also remembered that alot of the players from my older brothers team would skate with all of the groups for fun; Mites, Squirts, Peewees, Bantams. I think that not only showed how much love for the game those players had, but they seemed to have a stronger "team" attitude. Maybe Anton should incorporate that as a mandatory thing until players just get used to the idea and just do it. Plus, another win win, I remember as even a peewee looking up to the highschoolers, having then on the ice would pump me up, and maybe it would do the same for the high school players knowing they had someone who looked up to them.
