Mother Nature not being friendly to teams in pennant races

Post by GopherWild »

Well 6 games being postponed on friday, 3 games on Saturday (including a Tigers-White Sox doubleheader), more rain in Chicago expected Sunday. No wonder MLB changed the playoffs to start on a Wednesday instead of a Tuesday. I would not be shocked if games are needed on both Monday the 29th & Tuesday the 30th. If the White Sox need to make up these games, it may be good for the Twins if they can take advantage. White Sox may not have much left in the tank and the Twins expose it. This is exactly what hurt the Indians in 2000, so many day-night doubleheaders will take a toll on the pitching. I remember that September they had a 5-game series with Boston @ Fenway Park in 3 days with last 2 being doubleheaders. This could hurt the White Sox so I was wondering if there was any way to delete the "It was nice while it lasted" thread?
