State "B" One Site Tourney

Post by punchinbag »

It seems to me that if Minnesote Hockey truly wanted to give the most kids the best opportunity to play in the nicest venue this side of the Gulf of Mexico, they would have decided to hold all of the "B" level tournaments at the X.

While I am not saying that the B teamers would never play in the MSHL State Tourney, I am guessing that the A players have the better shot at it.

I truly do not think that this decision is about the kids. I believe strongly that the decision was made purely as a "potential" marketing opportunity for Minnesota Hockey. Maybe if they hadn't been spending OUR money foolishly over the past 5+ years or so they wouldn't feel compelled to resort to this silly idea of a one site A tourney.

I truly believe they have no idea of the repercussions surrounding this decision.

So, in that light, let's give more kids a chance and hold the "B" State tournements a the X. That, to me, has some merit if it is truly about giving kids an opportunity.

What do you think?
