Thanks, I didn't think Heisenburg would have scooped this message board for a Minnesota kid, which is why I didn't check there first. He got the Pitlick scoop as well. Me thinks a Maverick insider is feeding him information.
Congrats to Justin.

The Mavs have quite the crop of talented forwards for the next few years. If, they all pan out, combined with the current young team, the Mavs could be something special for a few years.

I'm no Jokinen fan, but congrats to him anyway; he certainly has a chance to do well at the next level. It'll be interesting to see how he progresses.

I agree Karl, I'm not a big fan either, personally think he lacks the foot speed, but I've been wrong before...Anyone know if he is going right in or are they sending him to the USHL?
In any event, congratulations to Justin.

Seems like there should be good competition for playing time next year with the number of forwards returning (13) and with Thompson, Mueller, Schiller and Jokinen coming in for 08.

From what I've herd the coaches love the big forward and I can see him playing a lot and being a huge impact player.

Only if they go back into a league with UWS, St. Scholastica, River Falls, etc...

I wonder how aggressively UMD pursued Jokinen. Nice to see another talented Northland recruit slide away.

This kid is fast when he tries which isn't that often. No doubt he has talent but thinks that he should be the only one on the ice.
