Should 1st round seeding change?

With the playoffs coming I thought I would ask the question about the current seeding process. Should it stay Division winners 1-3 or should it change? I feel division champions should be seeded in the top 4 instead of 1-3, this way they still get home-ice in 1st round but would give the non-division champion that gets home-ice to earn a 2 or 3 seed and it would always be better to be a 5 seed instead of a 6 seed. Just my opinion, but would love to see other opinions too.
