Bantams and high school have very little in common. Once in high school you are competing with 4 and some time 5 grade levels, private schools, open enrollment, USA development, and Juniors.

Yeah its great that they have been there so many times but your honestly going to try and tell me that because there is 4 grades that it changes thigns??? If anything that should give Centennial a HUGE advantage over anyone in the state!

When you throw in privates and many other variables it is a completely different animal. At the bantam level you can win with a handful of kids. At the high school level you need to play 3 lines to get it done. Hill Murray proved that this year.

Centennial has one of the best coaches in Bantam A hockey in the state. They are quite impressive.

What happens in Centennial from 9th grade to 12 grade that this area is not a fixture at the state tournament? Don't tell me Junior/NTDP/Privates, if you say that, prove it with places of kids who would have played at Centennial in the last 3 years who are gone

I have looked in the Mn Hockey handbook in the back part where the tournament champions are listed and I found a number of associations that had teams 3 years in a row and 4 out of 5, but I could not find another association that had a team in the Championship game 4 years in a row at the A Bantam level, quite an accomplishment.

1. For a top youth program Centennial loses very few of their players to other programs.
2. When you put 4 age groups together and they all played in Bantam State championships you would think that would benefit Centennial.

I would think at the high school level this program would not only be in the state tournament every year but be in state championship games regularly.

So what's the problem when these kids get to High School?

I assume you are trying to get someone to say that it is because Erik Aus is a bad coach. Well you aren't going to get that because he isn't a bad coach. He offers a competitive atmosphere for his kids to play high school hockey. He is a teacher and a mentor to his kids and they all seem to love him when they are done. He does as good a job as anyone and he is everything to his kids that a high school kid should have as a coach...A good person that his kids can look up to and can go to if they have a problem. I didn't play for him, and I have no kids that have played for him, but I have spoken with a number of his former players and not one would say a bad think about coach Aus. The fact is you don't have lose anyone to begin to lose ground in the high school race. If Private Schools take the top 3 players from 6 other programs they are going to be pretty tough to get by. It appears you are trying to go after the wrong guy.

How about nice job to the bantam coaches who do a wonderful job with their kids. How about nice job to the peewee coaches for getting their kids ready for the next level, and so on down the list to squirt and mite coaches. Nice job Centennial Association, it is a remarkable accomplishment.
