We've got two great semifinals tomorrow night. It'll be interesting to see if Mike Lee finally gets a real test. I was amazed with how effortlessly he was moving around the net, but Philippi was solid as well. Both teams bring quite a bit of depth but will probably have to rely on their very best to get goals on the board. I think the poise and experience of Ness and Co. will make the difference in this one.

Considering South's goalie is really, really good, winning 3-0 does not show "how bad they really are." None-the-less I'll take Roseau by two, they're just too good.
Roseau 6-1. I think in this tournament there's Roseau and then there's everybody else. I don't think anybody will stay within 3 of them, Edina doesn't have the goaltending, Hill doesn't have the discipline.

Did you not notice that they were mostly just desperation shots?? throw the puck at the net from any angle and maybe a couple will go in. That was their only chance. The Rams however showed a lot of patience in their shooting and held back again about halfway through the 2nd. Hill doesn't have a chance
For Hill-Murray how much more motiviation do you need, hardly anyone is giving them a chance yet you're playing on semifinal Friday at the X with an opportunity to knock off the undefeated, defending state champions who have won 40+ in a row...it doesn't get any better than that!!! I think Hill will skate with Roseau tonight and pull off a dramatic upset, 5-4 in OT.
The Pioneers will need to play much better then they did last night. If they bring their A game tonight, it should be a good close game. They have a chance to stop another long winning streak. They stopped Jefferson's long winning streak a few years back.
