Hill-Murray vs. Roseau Semifinal

Post by Hillfan »

Pioneers and Rams duel it at 8:00! Should be a very intense game. Predictions?

Pioneers 3, Rams 2 OT

Hill wins it in the most fun semi-final in several years.

H-M wins 7-5...

Now back to reality and coming back to the gray dead place we call MN.

We've got two great semifinals tomorrow night. It'll be interesting to see if Mike Lee finally gets a real test. I was amazed with how effortlessly he was moving around the net, but Philippi was solid as well. Both teams bring quite a bit of depth but will probably have to rely on their very best to get goals on the board. I think the poise and experience of Ness and Co. will make the difference in this one.

Hill only beating Lakeville South 3-0 just shows how bad they are. Roseau wins 4-1.

Dude we don't want you to pick us. You haven't got one game right all winter. :D

Considering South's goalie is really, really good, winning 3-0 does not show "how bad they really are." None-the-less I'll take Roseau by two, they're just too good.

With Blaine outshooting Roseau by at least 10 shots, I am going to say that there is hope for Hill to pull this one off.

Roseau 6-1. I think in this tournament there's Roseau and then there's everybody else. I don't think anybody will stay within 3 of them, Edina doesn't have the goaltending, Hill doesn't have the discipline.

Roseau will play a better game on Friday night. Ness will dominate and control the game from start to finish.

Roseau wins 5-2.

Did you not notice that they were mostly just desperation shots?? throw the puck at the net from any angle and maybe a couple will go in. That was their only chance. The Rams however showed a lot of patience in their shooting and held back again about halfway through the 2nd. Hill doesn't have a chance

5-1 Rams

Maybe they were desperation shots, but they still got past the Roseau defenders.

Based only on Moorhead performance, becauase I've only seen Hill play a couple games this year, Roseau 6 HM 2

After seeing both teams last night I would have to say Roseau 12 and Hill Murray 2.

If Hill plays to their capability and skates like they usually do, then we are going to be in for quite a game.

P.S. Keep talking BIAFP..it's working..

If Hill plays to their capability they might keep it out of running time

For Hill-Murray how much more motiviation do you need, hardly anyone is giving them a chance yet you're playing on semifinal Friday at the X with an opportunity to knock off the undefeated, defending state champions who have won 40+ in a row...it doesn't get any better than that!!! I think Hill will skate with Roseau tonight and pull off a dramatic upset, 5-4 in OT.

The Pioneers will need to play much better then they did last night. If they bring their A game tonight, it should be a good close game. They have a chance to stop another long winning streak. They stopped Jefferson's long winning streak a few years back.

After watching the Roseau game HM and Lakeville looked like they were in slow motion. Rams have too much team speed for HM. Roseau 6 Hill 2.

This Roseau bandwagon has gotten so full of themselves.
