No OGEE, it had to be when Greg Biskup moved to Roseau from Warroad for hockey and when that Ploof kid, Chris I think, moved from Roseau to Warroad for basketball!

I think this had something to do with coaching philosophies. When the Broten boys were in the showers half way through second in the era of no running time the scoreboards only went up to 19. Roseau had to be careful not to have a clock malfunction.

I am wondering why the peanut gallery has decided to add Roseau to their topics. I personally am quickly becoming a Warroad Warrior fan.

Losing Henry in the '69 Championship game.

It could have been Warroad's only State Championship!

I believe the biggest loss Warroad suffered by Roseau was in 78 or 79
When Roseau won 16-0 or 16-1 in the old Gardens. Kenny Thunder was in net for Warroad. Aaron Broten would have been a Senior.

I'm pretty sure it was Gary Ploof who moved to Warroad from Roseau to star for the Warriors in hoops. Chris was just a lowlife.

Actually, it was 1978 and Neal was a senior and not Aaron. The game was played at the old Gardens (Popple Palace) and the Rams won 16-0 with Neal, Aaron and Butsy watching the third period from the stands.

For a complete list of these games you can go HERE.

I think Roseau proved that Warroad belongs in Class A. If ya can't run with the big boys, stay on the porch! Be thankful Roseau opted up or Warroad fans would have no shot at coming to St. Paul.

I thought it was the other way around. Didn't Roseau get sick of losing in the Section 8 tourney so the opted up knowing that they would only have to compete with Moorhead and not Warroad, TRF, EGF, etc...

Roseau has an unbelievable team this year and last, but Warroad has had some stellar teams as well, especially 2004 where they were arguably the best team in the state, for either class. I just wish TRF could follow their example!

OHHHHHH that sucks, just in the middle of another post going Ram pride crazy, mr. Wild4hockey brings up that one fact that everyone in green and white would just as soon like to forget........Yes, Roseau does win in 8AA...the same section where their only competition is Moorhead....not or 4 others. Yes Roseau has made northern Minnesota proud and should be proud to have accomplished what they have, but they never won a section 8A tournement.........

Roseau would rather never travel to St. Paul again rather than appear in the "B" team tourney. If you can't grow a set, go play in the girls tourney!
