Name the next Minnesota Made teams

Post by O-townClown »

27 had a post where he speculated on the name of a girls team from Made. Got me thinking...

If ESPN can have "El Ocho", what names can you come up with for the inevitable 5th, 6th, and beyond teams that are part of the Minnesota Made program?

MACHINE - connotation: efficient (they played like a well-oiled machine)

DEUCE - connotation: the second

SNIPERS - connotation: essential elements to any great team, proficient, possibly not as well rounded

GRINDERS - connotation: important, but lackluster or unimpressive

Keep in mind that all entries must clearly indicate that the team is below The Grinders in the pecking order. "South Side All-Stars" is not a permissable nominee as it is impossible to tell if that team is better or worse than a Deuce.

SINKOS

CHECKERS

ENFORCERS

4TH LINE WINGS (logo looks like the Red Wings with a big 4 in it)

ROLLERS

CLIPBOARD HOLDERS

GUYS COACH ASKS TO SERVE THE BENCH MINORS

DUBBLE RUDDERERS

I'm sure you can come up with more.

Ice Augers - might as well be drilling for oil

WindChill - how advice is received

Whiteout - what the bank account looks like ...nothing there

Brain Freeze - what was I thinking?

Black Ice - hits you when you least expect it and after its too late.

Southern Breeze - too much hot air during the winter

Northern Lights - additional utility charge added to light the arena.

Of course that is just off the top of my head without hardly thinking which I'm famous for

How about the "Northerm MN Wanabees" - for those players 6 hrs. away

"Jealous Jackels" - for those players that would play there except it's to far to drive.

The Flying Checks

Not for the physical play, but because your checks will hit the bank faster than your kid can skate out of the zone.
