White Bear v. Roseville II Jan 5
A rematch of the 12/28 third place Schwan Cup game. The Bears are home and won the first tilt by a score of 2-1. These teams will likely see each other quite a bit this year. Who do you like in Round II and why?

WBL-Roseville
I'll take the Bears 3-2 in this one. WB has been playing better and better as a team and this one is at home, so that will definitely help.

I want to say Roseville but it depends upon their goaltending.
Roseville has been very sporadic between the pipes this year and the revolving net keeper continues. The top two lines have the guns to get the shots and score a few on Collette. If Mueller gets off, fah-get-about-it. Too much focus on him and his mates can beat ya.
WB is playing solid team hockey right now with Fiala leading the way. The Bears have an edge in D and Galloway continues to impress. Sager will have the boys up for this game to preserve the momentum gained since the HM losses and Park debacle.
If Roseville’s tender is up to the task, this will be a tough, close game likely filled with an above average number of penalties. Raiders 4 – Bears 3.

last game these two teams met in the schwans third place game the bears wom 2 to 1. that was an ugly game for both teams. but i still think that the bears have a better team this year then the raiders do. the bears got solid goaltending in collete and a good defensive core with 5 returning d. they are also getting some scoring to. now the raiders on the other hand have young d and a shaky goaltending. with forwards that will score two or three goals a game only if mueller plays well.
i will take the bears 4 to 1
i will take the bears 4 to 1

WB-Roseville
That just didn't happen.whitebearsuperfanB wrote: IF white bear contains Muller they will win this game..
WB goaltending was "off" to say the least. Letting in a few 20 foot goals on wrist shots just isn't going to cut it. WB turned it up in the 3rd but being down 0-4 and problems with the clock (power went out multiple times) killed their rally. T'was a good game.wbmd wrote:Final score

Mueller
Yes, Mueller had a great game, but, just for the record, one of his goals was a WB own goal.
Re: Mueller
They all count the same. I bet you wouldn't be crying if White Bear scored that way.wblsuperfan A wrote:Yes, Mueller had a great game, but, just for the record, one of his goals was a WB own goal.

and if Hanson wouldn't have jumped and if Tony V didn't get the boot and if the clock didnt mess up and if ...whitebearsuperfan ! wrote:Mueller did play very well, but if Collete would have started, Roseville wouldn't have gotten that early momentum and it would have been a completely different game.

I definetly agree that it would have been a different game if Owen got the start. Aberhamson played good last time they played Roseville so he deserved another shot. Roseville really doesnt have much except Muller. If you ask me Roseville's team is similar in talent to Stillwater they just also have Muller.
