When they actually beat a good team. They play STA next week and Hill in a couple weeks. Bring this back up then.

Credit from who? Are you upset no one has started a thread talking about how amazing Mahtomedi is? ESPN Analysts not talking about your team enough? I never understand why kids aren't satisfied with being the underdog. It's not about the team with the most "hype" surrounding them, it's which team is leaving the arena with the W. Write that down.

you want to give a team credit who is 6 and 2, lost to south st. paul who is also 6-2, and richfield who is 4-3? they beat tartan, ill give them that. but besides that name another team anyone even cares about in minnesota hockey? i agree with super fan A, until they beat hill and st. thomas, i wont give them any credit

Burnsville was good last year, this year they are just an average team. Stillwater is not any good, watch them get torn apart Jan. 3 on FSN. Eastview is a decent team, but definitely not a team to talk about. I'm not saying Mahtomedi is bad, I'm just saying wait until they play top-of-the-line competition.

dude just cause u go to white bear doesnt mean you have to take it out on burnsville how can you say their an average team... white bear lost their only two players to juniors who were studs their no good

how did white bear in the schwan cup again? Did they beat hill? Oh yeah........they lost....AGAIN

Eastview isnt good?

Mahtomedi plays hill and STA coming up.....yeah if they lose to the two best teams in the state they dont deserve credit.....White bear has no chance when they play hill and would have the same thing happen to them if they played STA......wheres the WB/MAHT scrimmage this year?

For anyone to say Mahtomedi doesnt deserve credit after beating three AA teams to win the Schwan cup is a joke. They have played great of late and deserve all the credit they can get.
Anyone from White bear can keep quiet until they beat hill

That isn't rediculous or anything....

Your saying us WB people can only talk once we beat a top 5 team in the state? Maybe even top 3? That just sounds stupid. White Bear is somewhat down this year and if you say the only way people can say that WB is good is to say that they have to beat a very deep Hill team, then that's just rediculous. There are plenty of solid teams out there (state tourney bound even) that would probably lose to Hill. So no one can talk them up or say anything about how good they might be? Thats just stupid.

Just my opinion though

As far as I know, you should be able to have an opinion on a team without your team getting attacked.

If nothing in the post is praising White Bear, or saying they're better than Mahtomedi, why are the Bears even brought up?

How come it seems like every third thread in this forum proves that HM posters on here represent their team in the worst of ways? They are always attacking other schools, making them seem completely inferior because Hill beat them. Everyone needs to be able to accept different opinions. And HM fans must also remember, they arnt perfect. I mean they did lose to the mighty Tartan.

This is a team that works very hard, is well coached. The bounces definately went there way this past weekend. I think Burnsville goalie had only 12 saves and let in 5 goals, Eastview goalie had 9 saves and let in 4 goals. Both those teams are WAY better. But the better teams don't always win. That why hockey is such a great game. I think they will win there fair share of games this year because of the style they play, but I don't think they are state tourney bound.

agreed to the max. first of all. no one on here said mahtomedi sucks, all we said is so far we arent giving them any credit. Tessia, you said that if they lose to hill and STA then we should still give them credit? no doubt, they probably wont beat either of those teams. but i would give them credit if they did, but if they lose. why should I? im not saying they would suck cause they cant beat them, but im saying losing to a team gains you nothing. Im pretty sure your from hill, and yeah, you guys are good and really love to talk alot of crap about other teams dont you? no one ever said anything after the tartan loss, even the 2nd best fall down sometimes. i cant wait to see STA and HILL play on the 10th. then we will see who is the better team, and i can tell you mahtomedi will not win their conference, and probably wont go to state.mabybe you should re-look at what everyone said. and it really comes down to one MAJOR point we all can agree on. beat the good teams in the good conferences, we will talk. granted they are in a good conference with STA AND Hill, to bad they probably wont beat either of those teams, sorry to say. and as for white bear. keep ripping on em. us white bear fans really love it. no one can deny we are a threat. even hill murray kids say we could beat you in sections.we are 7-4(countin schwanns cup) which is a pretty good record in my book. and have played some pretty challlenging teams. find one point in that argument thats wrong. but thats just my opinion.

None of those teams play in the same conference as HM (except SSP), and Park & Wayzata have won a total of 7 games combined. Am I missing something?!

One of you (sachishi) is discrediting Mahtomedi based on the conference they play in, which he claims isn't any good... but happens to be the same one as HM IS IN, and the other one (tourneyticks) is selling me on how great they are based on the fact that they've beaten two teams with a combined 7-12-3 record.

i have never said the classic suburban is any good. never. its horrible.

im just pointing out the fact that if people say mahto is good they should look at the conference because if i was to make a thread saying how good HM is, people would be tearing me limb to limb about the conference play.
