Hastings Upsets Roseville!!

Post by HastingsDangler02 »

Hastings-5
Roseville-2

I don't know who it was in the last forum about Hastings' first win but he/she said they can't say anything until they beat at least Woodbury or Roseville. Well there you have it. Roseville outplayed Hastings somewhat and had more shots but the return of Alex Harrington, one of the two senior forwards I was always talking about, made a huge difference. With 3 goals and 2 assists he proved all the points I made in saying we desperately needed him and our other forward(who is still out) back. This is 2 in a row for Hastings who went winless in '07 until last Tuesday.

Keep up the good work boys and show them what you got in the Rochester Tournament!! :D

Sorry about making a double thread, didn't see the other one till after I made this, too excited

This one can get locked up if needed but either way, this season is kind of turning out to be like college football this year...

Hockey Nut what do you think now?? Looks like the great coaching of Russ Welch is doing pretty good with a depleted squad.

Hockeynut is crying himself to sleep tonight. But I don't believe it was all Russ on this one, 43 saves for the goalie, thats a great game.

Your Right Pucknutz !!!!

Your right 2-24 in his last 26 makes him a great coach. I'm happy for the boys that have worked so hard, they deserve the credit. They got outshot 46-13. Goalie must have been great. Don't give the godfather to much credit yet.

Hastings goalie did play great, Roseville's did not, but either way, a win is a win. I personally wasn't at the game but from what I hear Hastings had more shots than 13, they had 9 in the first so they only had 4 the rest of the game? Highly unlikely, but eh, I wasn't at the game so I wouldn't know but like I said, a win is a win! :P

Dangler that would be me who said, "i'll get excited when Hastings beats Roseville or Woodbury". I tell you what, next time you see me you can kick me right in the biscuts. How's that?? Good for the players. I'm sure these last couple wins have really lifted their spirts. Although I would have to agree with Hockey Nut that a 2-23 record is certainly nothing to boast about. Looks like from the shots on goal Roseville outplayed them pretty bad. Again, these are kids and anything can happen, that's why they play the game.

2-23?

Post by bardown10 »

Actually the Hastings Squad is 2-8. The seniors they lost last year were junk anyway and didnt help at all.

I'd go even a little further and proclaim him "Coach for Life".
