Skipped the poll but wanted to inform people KTRF will be webstreaming this one if you care to listen to it tonight. I'm not great with linking but if you go to the KTRF website they'll get you there. Sports Wayne does a nice job... Broadcast starts at 7:06 tonight.
Thanks, I couldn't get north tonight at least I get to listen.
It should be a great game tonight at the confines of The Gardens Arena in Warroad.
Warroad is gathering steam going into the Christmas Break. TRF is looking to get back on track.
It seems TRF has won the last two pre-Christmas meetings in late 2005 and again in late 2006. Only to have Warroad come back later in the season to knock off TRF in the second mtg's of the year.
But TRF won the "big one" in that 4OT Thriller in the 2006 Section 8A Championship tilt on Micheal Forney's sliding goal just past Warrior netminder, Tyler Potts, who had something like 54 saves that night.
And last year, the 3-1 eng victory by the Warriors over TRF in the Section 8A title game at the EGF Civic Center.
Should be a good one. Both schools always seem to bring the entire towns when these two programs meet.
Any TRF recruits now playing for Warroad ala Wyatt Smith? Seems to be a good off-season signing year for the Marvins so the Warriors should take this one, but most are hoping for an early Christmas present for the Prowlers.
You talk about TRF recruits and the only one you can bring to the table is Smith? You can do better than that...but anyway, not much for "recruits" this year.

It's now ancient history but I would add Steve Sabo, Paul Borchert, and the Martells.
Can't forget some more ancient history with "Fast Eddie" Furuseth's post office job and the sons he brought with that happened to play hockey.
My horse and buggy mentality missed Angus' snide remark about this season's new recruits or are you talking girl's side of the coin...Hey burnt out, alchy, old fart guitarist care to elaborate?
That '89 Warrior team that got famous for icing the puck in EGF that night had just a odd assemblage of bodies; a kid or two from TRF, a foreign goalie, the son of an NHL scout, and a kid who played youth hockey down the road in Baudette.

No predictions.
Thief River Falls beat Warroad in early 2006 in the Ralph 5-0 just so you know. Tim was behind the bench that game because of an illness to Scott. I think he'll have a good gameplan, but will it be enough?
You'll have to excuse Big Osh he gets a bit excited...he also blew it with the 3 - 1 EN Section Final score from last season. Cut him some slack he's getting the Section 8A site up and running for us.
This is about the game I expected. If Warroad's goalie can play just average they should have a really good chance to get back to state. Being that sections are in TRF, I'm looking foward to seeing them play each other in the Ralph down the road.
