Poll AA

It seems like Hopkins is still a little low. Has anyone seen CDH play are they as good with the addition of a goalie as the off-season hype?

IMO Eden Prairie is too high! Fine give them the number two spot (which is debateable). But Stillwater won the state tournament and remains a force this season so far. They deserve the #1 spot until someone knocks them out or until EP beats a few worthy opponents. Come-on, EP is an excellent team but they need to EARN the # 1 spot period!

For CDH Jondahl the goalie is not eligible until half point of season becuase of her transfer from an out of state school. They have a great top line, 2 great D1 players on D and two good Jr goalies right now. White Bear and CDH tied 2-2 the other night.

Nice to see Hill Murray on list they have outshot all three opponents are 1-1-1 beat White Bear 6-5, tied Wayzata 2-2, lost to Stillwater 1-0 last night.

Since the ratings came out on Wednesday, there's been a lot of action amongst the top rated AA teams, and a few upsets. Here's what's happened to this past week's Top 10.

1. EP - remains undefeated but has yet to play any of the above Top 10 teams. They travel up north next weekend to play Warroad and Roseau and could get tested especially by Warroad.
2. Stillwater - also still undefeated but escaped with two close 1-0 wins against Hastings and Hill Murray.
3. Edina - after posting a convincing 4-0 win against Roseville, they barely escaped Breck 3-2, but then lost by the same score against an excellent Blake team. Could move down a spot or two this coming week, but beating Eagan on Tuesday would help them hold on.
4. BSM - lost 4-3 to the very talented Holy Angels squad, then came back with a convincing 7-2 win over Blaine. May also move down a couple of notches this week. Will face two tough opponents this week in Wayzata and Grand Rapids/Greenway.
5. Holy Angels - remains undefeated and should move up to as high as No. 3 after beating BSM 4-3 and then Blaine 8-3.
5. Roseville - rebounded nicely over Hastings 4-1 after getting shut out by Edina, but still may slip a spot or two.
7. Grand Rapids - have had a nice week since getting beat earlier by Roseville and tying Duluth. Should hold onto No. 7 this week or even edge up a spot.
8. Wayzata - posted nice wins over Sibley and Anoka. Which direction they move will depend on how they do against BSM on Tuesday.
9. Bemidji - may drop out of the Top 10 after getting upset by Elk River.
10. Centennial - now 3-0 after shutting out Coon Rapids. Could move up a little this week.

For Nos. 11-20 look for Elk River to move up several spots - they are undefeated at 5-0 and off to a great start. Cloquet will probably move down a bit after losing to Hopkins, and North Metro will likely drop out of the Top 20 after losing to Blaine and Crookston. Of course all of this doesn't mean very much this early in the year, but it's fun to watch the progress of the teams.
