I think both AM games were 5-3 - "Elite" won the first one, & the second one was won by the Jr Whitecaps... Melissa Feste was very impressive for the Whitecaps (3g)...

In the Sat night games UWSP won 7-2 I hear against a 10 player JrWC that was missing a lot of players... "Stars" beat "Elite" 4-1 in the other game.

I've been very impressed with the play of "Stars" young player Christina LaCombe D a soph-to-be in HS at EP... - probably the youngest player in this event but playing very solid D...

Also enjoyed the refereeing. There was not an endless parade of players to the penalty box. Actually some flow to the games. Refs recognize that girls hockey is a contact sport. Also, thanks to Jeff Daggit for organizing the tourney. If there are any players or parents that visit this site that are participating in this event, make sure to pay Jeff. He lost money last year and not everyone this year has paid.

Agreed on the officiating. And Daggit should be thanked for putting on a great event. I hope everyone takes care of the expenses too...

UWSP played Pointer hockey, hard every shift and found a way to score a goal on Ashley Nixon, who was solid. Amanda Rosequist (formerly of Gustavus) was equally impressive in net for the Pointers.

Jeff Daggit is an example for all hockey parents, always being positive and doing it for the game. Thank you Jeff.
