Blaine vs. Burnsville

Post by Sparlimb »

This one could be very interesting. Blaine has a nice squad but left Anoka around in a section final. Burnsville had a very hot goalie for at least one game....

I'm going to take Blaine, but I think this will be the second great game of the night session.

I think Burnsville might have a let down after the huge emotional win over Holy Angels. Blaine is a solid but not flashy team. I'll take the Bengals 5-4.

The Burnsville goalie has been very good at least for the past 2 games. In the 3 overtime win over Eagan, he had 46 saves and BV won 3-2.

It will be tough for Burnsville to play up to the same level they had to to beat AHA. I look for the Bengals to break out of their little scoring slump and come out hot.

Give me...

I think Burnsville will ride there big win against AHA to a win here. Also they have won 13 of there last 14 games so they are definatly a hot team.

I'm a hockey nut - but this game really doesn't do anything for me.

I think Burnsville played out of there minds last week and will not show up for this game. Blaine is a better team.

Braves: 1 (PP)

How deep is Burnsville? I know Hendrickson can put the puck in the net and Franks sounds like he is solid on D but what is their depth of talent like?

Their first line of W-Barns C- Hendrickson W- Parisic(sorry sp?), they are a damn good line. Other than that they arnt very deep..to beat them you need to match their first line and then be able to have a 2nd and 3rd line who can bury the puck.

Burnsville's goal tender has been playing great hockey.

Blaine on paper is a better team. Don't count out Burnsville. Frankly, I think they will match up against Blaine very well. Should be a good game.

I am picking Burnsville in another upset: 4 to 2

I find it hard to believe that that first line can be better than Blaine's (they weren't the first meeting, Blaine 7-3). Also, I know Blaine has the better second line with Schaber, Johnson and Bailey. I will stick with my Bengals in this one.

Burnsville has the two key ingredients for making the run...a hot line and a hot goalie. Their goalie has been playing fantastic the last half and their number one line has been a scoring machine. I think they have won 16 of 17 games to finish and that line has scored the majority of their goals. Add to that some solid D and 2 other lines that can do the job and I give Burnsville the convincing win over Blaine 6-3.

Burnsvilles first line has scored about 80% of their gaols this season. with the other to lines that play solid every game. they might not score the goals, but they keep the puck out of the zone and are yet to be outmatched by an opposing 2nd or 3rd line.

Glad to here that B'ville's 1st line "dominated" and their 2nd and 3rd line were "never outmatched" in their ten losses.
