They went to State last year with a record of 13-11 and lost in OT first round. Probably a bad section, or just not very many opponents. If you look at the Lake Conference games they play they aren't any competition to decent MN teams.

Superior led Denfeld and took them to overtime before losing last Tuesday night. They play hard and should give East a decent game. East will have to come prepared to play and overlooking the Spartans could be a mistake.

Those are all the cliches I have for this one right now.

Superior is not a bad team. This game will be a lot closer than people would think. A couple years ago Superior beat East. Im predicting this one will be

The Lake Superior Conference has four decent to very good teams: Denfeld, Hermantown, Marshall, and Cloquet. Superior plays good Minnesota competition and that's why they get to state and more often than not win.
