I wonder who the "likely" ones are.

Jason Kubel! 2-4. If those goofballs hitting in front of him would've gotten on base, that game would've been over by 5th!

Jason Kubel OBP .276
Frank Thomas OBP .361

Damn it'd be nice to have a guy on base more often...

Mike Lamb Watch
37 G, 124 AB, 7 R, 27 H, 6 2B, 0 HR, 17 RBI, .218 BA, .252 OBP, .952 FP

Explain to me what this big hoopla is about Kubel. His stats are just about as sucky as Lamb's. Take out his little 4 game "power surge" and he is Mike Lamb. Explain to me why you didn't want Frankie T?

Again? Explain to me why you did want him, because I haven't heard any decent argument supporting that from anybody.

Is it his 1 more run? 3 more RBI? 4 more GIDP? Worse SLG?

All that extra OBP isn't translating to squat. The guy is clearly past his prime, and teetering dangerously on the edge of worthless.

Isn't translating into squat? Who does he have to bat him in? Would you rather have a guy on base or a guy in the dugout? I'll take a guy on base everytime because that isn't an out and is a possible run, I don't know what kind of team you would coach Govs.

He would have thrived on the Twins as the RH bat behind Morneau that Delmon was supposed to be this year. Just watch...

He gets on base, but doesn't drive in any more runs than Kubel, or score any more... So all that time spent on base and ending up nowhere is advantageous how? The object of the game is to score runs, and he's not contributing any more than Kubel. It's six of one, half a dozen of another.

Did you not read what I said? You need people behind you to score runs (unless you are CarGo and can steal your way around the bases). The A's don't have anything behind him. Put the Twins 6 & 7 behind him and he'll score plenty of runs. Btw, he's beating Kubel in every category. Govs has one great eye for talent.

One dumb play by a young outfileder doesn't exactly constitute a collapse.

Dont leave your feet with guys on base and less than 2 out. Not with a 3 run lead. Never.

What does this team do in Forida in Feb/March? Play golf?
