Give Duluth East some credit; that '91 State final was more of a stormy cruise after Hill spotted the Greyhounds 0-2 and 1-3 leads.

I guess I was referring more to their 7-1 win over Johnson in the quarters and their 11-3 clubbing of Grand Rapids in the semis.

I have to agree with the 89-90 Rams. I think they were one of the best teams to come out of Roseau and definitely stack up as one of the best in Minnesota HS Hockey. No doubt about it that the 77-78 Rams with Neal, Aaron, and Butsy would have been great to see, but I think the 89-90 team was deeper in talent.

State winner I'd love to see stripped of the title--I think Henry Boucha would agree with the '69 Edina Hornets team. Whatever it takes to win the championship :roll:

My dream tournament has already come true. It happened when the MSHSL created the Teir 2 tournament that was some fantastic hockey. What other state can you go watch the #60 thru 100 and whatever # of teams there are would duke it out for 60th place in the State.
Great teams like the
1992 Rosemount Irish with a record of 4-20-1
1992 New Ulm Ulms or whatever they are called, a stunning 8-16-1 (they managed to score 1 goal at state)
Trivia = Who scored it?
1993 Henry Sibley Warriors 8-17

Those where some great years, no problems getting tickets either.
