This might be my favorite. I only see a couple problems.... In December you might have a problem with thin ice on the river... Personally, I think it could be a minor problem. The other problem is the wind, nothing like a nice 30mph wind to skate into. Its like skating up a 30 floor building... Nice try though... But if you want to see EGF out side, the EGFvBreck game would be a lot of fun on outdoor ice.
Michael Russo posted on his Star Tribune blog that Hockey Day will be announced next week. It was planned for TCF Bank Stadium as I originally posted, but there was a scheduling conflict or something of that nature that caused FSN/Wild to change course.

Well had they played when the Wild are playing at TFC the boys would be in the middle of section playoffs. I am betting on HD being up north. Like Hibbing,Eveleth or Duluth
Considering that none of East's players this coming season were in high school in 2012, I doubt they give a rip about what happened the last time East played on Hockey Day. Randolph, maybe, but the current version of Mike Randolph seems to care much less about such things than he would have 5 or 10 years ago.
This will be East's 3rd hockey day appearance, though their first one outside. They beat White Bear in a game at the X in 2009.
Denfeld's opponent was supposed to be Warroad, but that apparently has fallen through, as has a possible game against Thief River Falls. If they can't get one of those two, my vote is for St. Cloud Apollo--they'll be good, and that program could use the attention.

Would be cool to see them play Greenway. Have a Section game with seeding implications outside!
