Congrats to Virginia! Now go represent the Range well down in St. Paul! Sad to see Hibbing come up short again. They put a solid season together and played well at the end.

Does anyone know what the consecutive seasons record is for a team losing in the section finals? Pretty impressive Hibbing has made it to the finals six years in a row, hopefully they will win one soon.

My guess is they have the record all to themselves?
Just wait, just like when Hibbing moved down to Single A a few years ago, I can see Grand Rapids doing it in the near future too. They have already started in some of their other athletics. That could really hurt 7A.

I am not trash talking, its an honest question, Hibbing has had the most consistent program in 7A ever since they were put in. They never have a bad season and every year are a contender for the 7A title.

does anybody know why it was disallowed? saw the light on. or is game over suppose to mean have the thing locked?
The goal judge.. one of the top local refs, made a hand signal to the ref when asked, to tell him that the net was indeed off before. I don't remember if I saw his light come on or not .. but the referee was pointing at the net to signal the goal since he didn't see the net come off.
As for why the nets were coming off.. the DECC is pretty much ONLY a college hockey arena now and there are holes drilled for the rubber moorings that are used at the college level, and not the metal spikes that really just sit on top of of the ice with the little stud on the bottom of it. The refs tried to pack snow in and make a better spot for it to sit on but that obviously didn't work out as well as they wanted.
then i will give an honest opinion they were coached very well to play in the playoffs the moves they made worked for them. moving defencemen changing goalie improved their team

Yes, that would be a great game, I'm not sure if they've ever even played each other in the finals?

so why did the hibbing net never get knocked off then? even the wdio announcers said that goal should have been good

Don't you have a plow to be driving in Virginia you old, ignorant a-hole. I was going to come on here and congratulate you guys and wish you the best of luck and then there's shatheads like you. Your like 60 yrs old, drive a plow, and probably live with your mother. Chances are you know nothing about hockey.
To the falls fans, if Hibbing lost 3-0 could you imagine what you guys would've lost by 5-0 maybe worse.
Anyways my hat goes off to Hibbing who battled to the very end and never quit and congrats to the Devils and Good Luck in St. Paul.

I'm now convinced Hibbing is the Vikings of High School Hockey. The monkey on their back has turned into a big, hairy Gorilla.
