Playground football and schools can have totally different rules about where kids live.

Where does he live? Isn't Kyle a North Saint Paul Resident? I know that he plays his football there. Just wondering, also where is his school, St. Paul, or North St. Paul?

I think he goes to school in Stillwater.

So this kid plays football for N. St. Paul, Hockey at Johnson and goes to school in Stillwater. How do you make that work?
"Pimp'n ain't easy"

Kyle lives in the Johnson High School boundaries but yes he plays football in North St. Paul. Kyle goes to school year round. Sounds like someone is a little bitter.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... SONPREZ at: 3/7/06 4:07 pm

You should be asking his football coach why Johnson hockey player is playing football in North Saint Paul.

This is the final post on this subject. Kyle lives in the Harding Area which now is part of the Johnson hockey boundaries also we have some players from the West Side which play football on the West Side. Football and Hockey have different boundaries. The St. Paul high school boundaries also may change due to declining numbers.
Enough Said.

I don't understand why any of this is you buisness where a kid goes to school and where he plays football. I would guess from your posts that you must be from North St Paul and if this is true be careful not to throw stones when you live in a glass house. All I am saying is check the North St Paul PeeWee roster and there might be a question or two about kids playing there that live in St Paul.

This person didn't think about not using names before they went off and used Kyle. I know as a fact that there are 3 kids playing for N.St.Paul that are from another area. We don't need to use names.
"Pimp'n ain't easy"

Not quite correct - I do not know if I would use the word "ANY"

--Its called waiver - a form that allows ANY player from ANY orginization to play ANY where they choose.--

A lot of associations do not let players leave and some do not accept players. Some districts don't let players leave the district.

If there was some roster violations, I am sure the District director from TC and/ D2 can look request an investigation to the allegations. This is not a difficult task that can be completed within 10 minutes. MNHOCKEY can suspend the appropriate indivudlas, if a violation occured under MNHOCKEY BY LAWS. But somebody needs to step forward and start the process. If this was complete, I did not read it or see, and accept my apologies.

district 2 does not give waivers, also like my user name says I am the president and I never gave a waiver for any players to go to North Saint Paul. We had a couple of players that wanted to play at Johnson and we told them without waivers no participation. I hope that other associations in other districts are not accepting any of our players without waivers.

My son played in another district and we didn't waiver him. At the end of the year we found out we were supposed to have a waiver. Nothing happened.

I knew we never should have left the Range. These people are crazy down here. I was getting along with my 3 wives up there just fine. Then you say we can have more wives and a bigger house and now look at the trouble we're in.

Geez

In D8, southern MN, it is nearly impossible to waiver to another association. Only when one assn. does not offer a level another assn does such as only having B & C teams when the neigboring assn offers A, B & C levels. Then you must get a waiver from your assn, take it to the other assn's board for an approval. Then you'd have to try out for that level, hoping of course your kid makes that team or your back to the level your own assn provides. But I do know the presidents here, just as Johnson, do not provide waivers for just any ole reason.

At Johnson we feel if you think the grass is greener on the other side we will let you have a waiver rather than make you stay somewhere you don't want to be. This year we had some players playing for other associations (mostly Pee Wee's) and yet our "A" Pee Wee team made it to the regionals. Maybe if these players did not leave we may have had better chance at making it to state. I am not going to mention any names but you people who left missed a great chance for your son's or daughters.

Johnsonprez, Seems like you are good enough without the players you waiver. I think you are wrong because you guys were O.K. but if you guys with your numbers would have gone "B" you may have another state championship.

Don't get me wrong we would have loved to had these players but if an association does not let kids waiver out they can't waiver kids in. At least that is our understanding. We had a couple of kids that wanted to waiver in but had no waivers so they cannot play here without them. The cost of our program is creating interest from other areas parents.
As long as a player is waivered he can play here.

Johnson is so bad I don't blame kids for leaving.
It is bad that they only skate about six out of seven days a week and they get most equipment and play in 5 tournaments paid for by the association all at $350 to 450 a year, I would leave to.

All the negative comments, Every bit of monies raised goes back to every player in our association. As far as players waivering out this happens mostly because of bussing in the inter-city our students want to play hockey with kids they go to school with. People ask me why the district doesn't put an end to this so all players will stay in their areas. But I don't think the district really can do anything about it.
