State Tournament-Bantam "A"-Weak?
As I look through this Bantam "A" State Tournement, I see only two very strong teams going into it. Edina and Centenial. No one else impressed me. Roseau and Blaine both lost over 10-15 games all year, and have been a bit shaky throughout the season. Owatonna is going to get absolutely embarrassed. I could have predicted that Eden Prarie and Moorhead would make it, because they seem to play the right hockey at the right time of year every year. I would have liked to see White Bear Lake, Centenial, and Edina all battle it out in the tournement. But it just did not end up that way. Oh well.

But, to be a possitive one on this: Congrats to all teams that made it. Best of luck to you!

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... eyguy90 at: 3/5/06 10:02 pm

The lack of WBL makes it weak. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=" >D">
<img src="http://www.wblhockey.com/images/toc/toc ...

Re: what?
AJ you really need to stop crying about your loss to Centennial. You may have smoked them the last two times but they beat you when it counted and thats that. I'm pretty sure no one wants to hear about what could have happened. Its what did happen and what did happen is that you all lost. So go talk trash to Edina some more and maybe you can lose by one to them next time.

Crying? Come on man, take some sarcasm. I'm not taking it that hard. I wasn't even playing. In all honesty I don't think my team would have made it far in state. We have a problem with consistency.

For everybody on these boards: don't take me seriously. Most of the time I am either being sarcastic or just joking around. I very well know our White Bear team isn't the best thing to ever happen to A bantam hockey, I just like to kid around like that.
<img src="http://www.wblhockey.com/images/toc/toc ...

Re: what?
well in that case AJ i apologize. Sarcasm is hard to understand on the computer. And you had a very skilled team, its unfortunate they got screwed, but it would have been the same way if Centennial didnt make it or Edina, they all deserve to be there and its sad they all couldnt make it.

They didn't get screwed, they got beat by a better team.
-TWM22

Re: what?
he means that they got screwed by teams like Owatanna making it. Do u actually think that Owatanna could even come close to beating anyone in the top half of the teams in the state?

Re: what?
They beat Buffalo which was ranked 15th and New prague who was 20 in MHJ, so yeah, i guess they can beat teams ranked in the top half of the State. Now will they beat Edina, probably not, but then only two teams beat them this year and they both are in the State tourney also. I hate all the whining that so and so doesn't belong in the State tourney. well each team that makes it deserves to be there because they satisfied all of the criteria to get their. Life isn't fair, some have more advantages than others. Get over it. The fact of the matter is that 8 teams make it to the State tourney in BA and for all of the kids that make it, it is a great experience, one that should be remembered for the rest of their lives. Good luck to all of the teams and I hope there is some "UPSETS"

Yea, its a great experiance unless you get killed your first 2 games and then you are out. And seeing that you are probably from Owatonna because you want to see an upset so bad, dont count on it.

Re: what?
not from Owatonna buddy. And I did not say I want Owatonna to upset Edina. I said I want to see some upsets so I can post to all those arrogant people out there who believe that if you not one of the top teams throughout the year, that you don't deserve to be in the State tourney. Look at the HS tourney and what teams "should be there...AHA Jefferson etc." guess what, they are not because they got UPSET. That is the beauty of sports. There is no doubt that AHA was the best team throughtout the year...they just happened to get beat when it counted. Same thing with Edina, no one on this board can say they were not the best team throughout the season. Now they just have to continue that for three more games otherwise no one will remember that they were the best throughout the year...but the winner of the State tourney will be remembered and there are 8 teams that have a shot...albeit it at quite a few different odds.

Re: what?
Did Owatonna upset anyone in the Regional playoffs? If so who? I dont think it is at the magnitude of the Apple Valley-Holy Angels game. If I recall, the southern regions is quite weak. It is a shame to not have more cities teams in the State Tournement, but it is only fair to the southern teams to get a shot.
