new prague:2 Mankato:1 2OT good game overall pretty physical, but wasn't really cheap at all. both goalies has numerous game saving saves. tyler bruggeman player of the game easily im not sure of the final shot total but im guessing he had about 35-40 saves if not more. good luck to owatonna and newprague in the ship. atleast a D4 team will represent. <hr />I am the souperstar.

Yes, Mankato is done for the season. The only team that isn't done is the team that wins the championship game

Their PWA and BA each lost once. The Bantam A lost to NP 2-1 in ot. The PWA got smoked 6-2 by Faribault.

scores from the bantam tourny this morning... Albert Lea:3OT Hutchinson:2 I might be wrong it could have been 4-3 but i forgot Buffalo:3 Mankato:2 EN i know what your thinking, what the heck how did they get an EN and lose? well 5 seconds left in the second period buffalo pulls there goalie with a faceoff in katos zone. kato wins the draw and shoots the puck down and scores. sounds kinda cocky to me by the buffalo team<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)"> Owatonna:3 New Prauge:1 i heard the peewee scores too... Fairbault lost to Sartell and the District 5 refs. 5-4 goals. Refs: Day 1 refs were fine, but Day 2 and 3 refs were pretty bad. I think the biggest thing was inconsistency. They would call about 6 penalties on one team, and then 2 on the other to try and make up for it. A lot of teams didn't get calls, or got bad calls on them. In the 'Ship, Sartell got the penalties early and Faribault got them later(second and third period.) Faribault did get a few more penalties, buto nly two or three more. Congrats to both Owatonna and Sartell. I look forward to a great season next year, and Congrats to all of the teams who are done playing, on great seasons.

i actually kinda feel bad for the faribault peewee team. two regional championship games in 2 years and 0 trips to the state tourny. one an OT loss and the other one a 1 goal loss. <hr />I am the souperstar.

I was gunna say the same for faribault. Thel ast two years they have had good teams, but they lost an OT and a 2 goal(technically 1 goal) game. But, You can't hang your head if you are faribault. They had a GREAT year. Congrats.

sartell 6 faribault 4 stop blaming the refs,,, penalties were 12 to faribault ----- 8 to sartell.... bottm line they couldnt stop # 16 from sartell...... hack nobody did all weekend,,,,, if you want to play that way , both teams you will end up in the box

soup, i thought that our team played pretty well. a couple of let downs at times, but thats gonna happen in those high pressure situations. i thought that we had buffalo, they were starting to dismantle with #2 taking that misconduct, but then we started getting into deep trouble with penalties as well. We fought penalties all weekend and most of them were not needed. what about you? Falkster

Great tournament by all teams - fun to watch. The two teams that made it to the finals played the best -Sartell and Faribault. Good luck to Sartell moving on. Hockeykid14 don't know what game you watched? Penalties were 9-Faribault 5-Sartell at the end of 2 periods, Faribault recieved 4 more in the third. That's right off the score sheet, more that 2 or 3 don't you think ..... 13 to 5, but some people just see things the way they want. Faribault total were the better team when 5 aside, its kind of like getting beat by a better team three times in one year. BETTER TEAMS make you you look like your have an off nite if you havn't figured that one out yet.

i forgot hockeykid 14 how did your team do o yeah thats what i thought you got killed by faribault and then got beat by new prague and can barely beat MWT which is the 4th seed you guys did teribble in regions but didnt you score vs faribault and do you know how many shots you had on the faribaults goalie

Hockeykid...sorry to jab Mankato......the way Buffalo played...should keep my mouth shut. You got to admit my prediction on Sartell rang true. I think I warned you guys about Guggenberger.....he's a horse....and the rest of the team is pretty solid too. Buffalo, as inconsistant as we are, will have to take pride in saying we beat Sartell once!

I drove down and did a little scouting this weekend in Mankato..watched the two semi final games and must say I think Buffalo was the best team...however, it seemed like every shot Owatanna took went in...Buffalo outshot Owatanna 13-2 and was down 2-1 after 1 and their goal was scored by an Owatanna player...In the New Prague vs Mankato game it was simply a case of Mankata not having any firepower up front...I figured Owatanna would handle New Prague...but thought Buffalo had the best team...unfortanately they ran into an extremely hot goalie...think I heard shots ended up 36-21...
