Feel free to add any names to this list. It's just a starting point and I'm sure I missed some in not knowing the S or N parts of the state that well!

By the way - I'm really impressed by the number of top D in this group.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ckeyfan at: 2/20/06 5:04 pm

Thanks - and that's BIG 9 Conf. then and was the ASHM the AP version, or the MGHCA (Coaches Assn.), or both, or another media version (Star Trib & PP sometimes do their own???) or they do all-metro or something like that I think...

I can't keep it straight anymore!

What about Sandy Nelson from Spring Lake Park. She was All Conference last year and this year has 30 points on a losing team.

Is Sandy a Soph or a Junior??? I think she's on the Soph list - but maybe that's a mistake if she's a Jr...

Brittany Hartman

Junior F

Prior Lake

Saw her play tonight in the OS league, and she really impressed me. Big strong kid, made some great plays, knows how to read the rink and broke for passes through neutral ice to open ice perfectly. Reminds me of the strength of a D but is a Power F.

all the previous talk about A. Nixon, not sure why. My friend who seen all the Rapid games vs. SSM, said she was pulled in every game, including the Minnekota championship game, after letting in three quick goals. He says she is good but not like the #1 status she has been billed.

Everyone is most certainly entitled to their opinion, but it may just be that Nixion was caught on a couple bad days. This happens even to the best goalies.

I personally beleive that Nixon is likely one of the top goalies in the state, if not the top one. I had the honor of standing behind the bench and watching her play for an AAA team, and simply put, she's amazing - in my opinion.

hocnight, easy there tiger. My evaluation is that of a good friend of mine, that is very knowlegable in evaluation of talent. I never said she wasnt good. she may have just been off when he seen her play in the three games she played in recently.

I would add Stillwater's Katie Polansky to the list of D...if it were my list anyway. Great skater, fleet of foot, very mobile.

Looking at your list I think it would be hard not to add Stillwaters other two senior defensman to your list. Kelsey Johnson and Kaleigh Bell, combined with Polansky make Stillwaters defense one of the best in the state. I have seen these three play and all three are great skaters and loaded with skill.
