Many of the family were in attedance for Maria's game to see her score a goal against Wayazata and then went down to see Ryan playing with the Gophers and score a beautiful goal against Denver and then get interviewed.
Congrat's to the Stoa Family!! Enjoy!!

Probably the most humble people you'd ever meet too. Great people, and talented hockey players to say the least!

They both wear # 29--I think that is the powerball number for tonight--would that not be nice if they bought a ticket!

I can remember when Maria made the transition from U12A to HS in 8th grade she didn't miss a beat. It was amazing. I'd never seen that before.

Yesterday it appeared that Maria got the assist and not the goal but they reported that she got it--as it turns out it was her long time linemate Melissa Feste who got the goal and Maria who assisted--

Did anyone see the "hooking" where she ended up with her jersey over her head tonight? That was priceless. Especially when she scored her disallowed goal a few minutes later and then put her jersey back over her head! That's classic Maria Stoa - What a great player, and she has a great sense of humor too obviously!

I didn't get to see a state game in person this year, and just caught parts on TV/radio due to work, but was happy to see this unfold...

What a great kid, and congrats to her for winning it all with EP, and to her brother Ryan too for cliniching the WCHA reg. season title last night w/the gophs.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ckeyfan at: 2/26/06 1:03 pm
