They help PREVENT a tie, not break one. Every section recieves a unique rank from 1 to 12 (total of 78 if I added right). Think of the rank as a confidence value. Let's say you and I picked every section correct except for 1. I weighted my wrong section a 1 and you rated your wrong section a 3. I would win because I have 77 and you have 75. What makes this hard is you have to pick the winner and the runner up. I think many could tie with just a winner but it will be very hard to predict all the runner ups correctly.

OK, a couple of you (random and gopherbabe) haven't been doing it right, or maybe I just wasn't clear enough. You have to assign values 1-12 to each game. You can only use a number ONCE. You can't give them all a 12 or use values more than one time.

Here's the possible high scores so far (I think, I'm adding it up on the fly for now): Random1727 139 boblee 135 sghfan 131 KRACH 131 hockeydad 130 SEhockeyDAD 129 gOpherbabe13 124 Big Red 123 mnhockey20 120 dasherdude 116 elliot70 116 Remember, this could change in just a few hours, plus many of us have already gotten some wrong already. Random1727 and boblee in good shape with 3 1/2 top weighted predictions. sghfan and KRACH already missing 10 points with Lakeville, but has 18 so far for NP and Austin in 1A. hockeydad also really good in top weighted predictions, but has 10 riding on Farmington. Already lost 9 with Chisago. SEhockeyDAD already lost 11 with Mankato West, 8 with Lakeville. Will be tough to score high. gOpherbabe13 might be the only one to get 5AA right with HA over burnsville prediction.
