I would've liked to see Pionk at Denfeld, but Superior is in a much better situation number wise and they got a steal getting him on the bench across the bridge.
Personally, I would have liked to see Pionk or Jago at East

I agree but that was a while back. From what I heard Pionk did throw his hat in the mix after Randolph was ousted. When he was helping out at Proctor it was a perfect fit as I didn't think he really wanted the spotlight of a HC job anymore which surprised me when it was announced he got the Superior job.

Jago reinstated. An investigation found no wrongdoing.

Not so fast, my friend! According to the Duluth News Tribune:

"Duluth Denfeld coaching saga not over: An external school district investigation of Hunters’ boys hockey coach Dale Jago “inadvertently” failed to contact one person who came forward with complaints, according to a statement from the district."

The article goes on to state that the person who wasn't contacted had the same issues as the others who were interviewed, which leads me to think nothing changes and Jago will be back, but you never know.

Nice going, Duluth ISD 709.

(For the record, I'm a Jago supporter.)
